Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Markets have announced that they are opening their first five Las Vegas stores on November 14, 2007. Tesco is the UK's largest retailer and one of the top three retailers in the world with over 3,200 stores across 12 countries and employing more than 400,000 people.
The company has spent years researching and planning the Fresh & Easy store format. Researchers spent time in the homes of U.S. consumers looking at shopping and cooking patterns. Each store will have approximately 10,000 square feet to make it easier and faster to shop. In addition the store will offer a range of Fresh & Easy private label and national brand name products at low prices and will ensure that all its private label products contain no added trans fats, artificial colors or flavors. Fresh & Easy will also offer customers a selection of fresh, prepared meals. "We are very excited to open our doors and bring fresh, wholesome food at affordable prices to our neighbors in Las Vegas," said Tim Mason, Fresh & Easy's CEO.
The first five stores will be at Tropicana & Durango, Tropicana & Jones, Lake Mead & Del Webb, Bermuda & Silverado Ranch and Warm Springs & Eastern.
